🎉 Big News from the Heart of Downtown! 🎨
Lavonia DDA Welcomes Amorette “Ammo” Johnson as Visitor Center Coordinator & Main Street Assistant
The Lavonia Downtown Development & Main Street Program is thrilled to paint the town excited as we officially welcome Amorette “Ammo” Johnson to our dream team! After a competitive selection process full of talented applicants, Ammo stood out like a freshly painted mural on a sunny day.
A proud resident of Lavonia, Ammo brings a palette of passion for small business, the arts, and all things community. You may already know her handiwork—she’s the painting artist behind the vibrant “Hey Y’all” mural at the Downtown Gazebo. (Fun fact: she spent 103 hours turning that wall into a work of heart!) 🎨💪
In her new role, Ammo will be greeting visitors with charm at the Lavonia Welcome Center and lending her creativity and commitment to our Main Street initiatives. Whether it’s organizing events, brainstorming ways to boost business visibility, or adding flair to our downtown district, she’s ready to roll up her sleeves and get to work.
When she’s not beautifying the city, you’ll find Ammo cooking up something delicious, hiking new trails, twirling through a country dance floor, or road-tripping with her fabulous four—her beautiful children who inspire her every step of the way.
So next time you spot her downtown (she’ll be the one with the big smile and even bigger ideas), be sure to give her a warm southern “Hey y’all!” and a heartfelt welcome.
Welcome aboard, Ammo—you're the perfect match for our Main Street masterpiece!
